“I just no longer felt comfortable with the programming at Fox,” longtime Fox News anchor Chris Wallace said in his first interview since leaving the network last year after nearly two decades.
Wallace told the times that he felt a troubling shift in Fox News coverage following Donald Trump’s defeat in the 2020 presidential election, and was alarmed by a Tucker Carlson documentary that falsely suggested the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol siege was a “false flag” operation.
““I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion. But when people start to question the truth — Who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? — I found that unsustainable.””

“I think Fox has changed over the course of the last year and a half,” he told the Times, acknowledging criticism that he could have drawn a line earlier. “I can certainly understand where somebody would say, ‘Gee, you were a slow learner, Chris,’” he said.
